What a fun weekend!

Brandon and I had such a great weekend. My Mom had her CFP exams (Certified Financial Planner) this weekend in Farmer's Branch, so we got to visit with her. We went out to dinner together on Friday night, and then picked her up Saturday afternoon after her exams were over. She got to spend the night with us Saturday night and spend most of Sunday here, as well. Now, in case you don't know, my Mom can sew. Now I know what you're thinking... "My Mom sews, too.". No, your Mom doesn't sew like this. I'm not talking about hemming a few pairs of pants, or repairing your buttons when they fall off. I'm talking about sewing without a pattern (who needs a pattern when you can look at a picture and duplicate what you see?), sewing fast as lightning and doing it all with a smile on her face. Mom worked her fingers to the bone getting Isaac's bumper pads, bed skirt and curtains made. And let me just say she did a SPECTACULAR job (no shock there!). Oh, and all of the piping that you are about to see was custom-made by Grandmama. Is she good or what?
The master at work...

We had so much fun!

How gorgeous are those bumpers?!

I can't wait for Isaac to sleep in his super -posh crib...

And, of course, custom window treatments.

Thank you, Mom... everything is beautiful!!!

After we dropped Mom off at our house Saturday, we had to rush off to our first baby shower! The shower was at Papsitos, where I had the most fabulous fajitas I've ever put in my mouth. I also got to have my favorite of all shower treats: PETIT FORS... yum! Mexican food and Petit Fors make me mucho happy. We filled in some hilarious baby shower mad-libs and also listened to Brandon's funny and sometimes touching answers to a survey about what pregnancy has been like as well as what our future with Isaac will be like. Both were great fun. After dinner we went to a cute little German place in downtown Plano where we sat on the patio for some good laughs. I also got to sample their Tiramisu... AMAZING! Brandon and I will definitely go back at some point to sample some other things on their menu. I have to say that I'm realy angry with myself for not taking out our camera at any point during the shower. What kind of idiot am I? If you got some good shots at the shower, please share them with us! :) Thanks Eric, Julie, Rob and Lindsey for hosting such a fun shower - we had a blast and are blown away with your generosity! Special thanks is also due to Andy and Jaimie for driving all the way from OKC for the shower - it means so much to us!

And last, but not least, my Mom has been after me about posting an updated belly shot. So... here ya go! Just a bit bigger than the last shot. I can't wait to meet you, Isaac! :)
